Commercial auto liability and cargo coverage is the biggest bill in hotshot, and new carriers get the worst quotes. When you lease on with SoReel Outdoors LLC, your truck and trailer go on our policy, and you run under our auto liability and cargo coverage while you are under our dispatch.
What It Costs
You pay only the actual increase in our premium caused by adding you and your equipment, with no markup, taken out weekly from your settlements. Your driving record and your age set that number, not us, and it is written into your lease before you sign.
What You Still Carry
- Physical damage on your own truck and trailer, if you want it covered
- Non-trucking or bobtail liability for when you are not under our dispatch
- Occupational accident or health coverage for yourself, which we strongly recommend
What Else You Need
- Your own pickup, 3/4 ton or 1 ton, in good shape
- A flatbed trailer, gooseneck or bumper pull
- A valid driver license and a DOT medical card. CDL and non-CDL drivers are both welcome
- Straps, chains, binders, and tarps
- A phone you answer, and the habit of sending pictures at pickup and delivery
- Fluent, professional English with shippers, receivers, and roadside officers
- A regular U.S. domestic driver license. No non-domiciled CDLs
- A verified history with hauling, strapping and securing a flatbed load, maintaining timelines, and following directions
